Finance Committee


1. This Committee shall consist of three members experienced in Branch activities and knowledgeable in Branch financial matters. Each member serves a three-year term. One new member is appointed annually by the Branch President, who also names the Committee Chair.

2. The Committee reviews the financial operations of the Branch and makes appropriate recommendations to the Treasurer and the Executive Committee. The Committee also assists in decision-making on major Branch expenditures and investments.

3. The Committee will work with the Treasurer in formulating the annual budget. The following procedure is suggested: Canvas the Executive Committee and incoming Committee Chairs for expected expenses for the next calendar year. Prepare and mail to the Executive Committee, prior to the planning meeting, a proposed budget for the year. The Treasurer will duplicate the proposed budget for distribution to those present at the planning meeting.

4. The Chair (or other member, at the discretion of the Chair) serves as an ex officio member of the Auditing Committee.
