Each year the Eastern Branch recognizes members who have achieved distinction in their respective fields. Among these are several Eastern Branch nominees for ESA Distinguished Achievement Awards (see the Entomological Society of America's homepage at: http://www.entsoc.org/awards/index.htm for details on the national awards), two Eastern Branch awards for distinguished achievement and service, the L. O. Howard Distinguished Achievement Award and the Herb T. Streu Meritorious Service Award, and two graduate student awards: the John Henry Comstock Graduate Student Award sponsored by the ESA for outstanding graduate student in each branch, and the Eastern Branch Asa Fitch Memorial Award for a student at the Masters level.
